We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Officer to join our team.
Job Title: Logistics Officer
Location: Mauritius
Role Purpose
The Logistics Officer will support the day-to-day coordination of export logistics activities, ensuring timely shipment processing, accurate documentation, effective stakeholder communication, and compliance with international trade and company procedures..
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage shipping line bookings, ensuring timely scheduling and adherence to customer requirements.
Create and prepare shipping documents as required and in compliance with international trade regulations.
Book invoices accurately and efficiently into the company’s system, ensuring all relevant information is recorded and documented correctly.
Liaise with various stakeholders to resolve any issues or delays.
Assist in the preparation of any other relevant documentation export shipments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
Collaborate with the Belgium team and other departments to optimize logistics processes, streamline operations, and improve efficiency.
Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed, demonstrating teamwork and cooperation in achieving departmental objectives.
Profile & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding, with specific experience supporting shipping line bookings and documentation.
Proficiency in Cargowise or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, with the ability to input and retrieve data efficiently.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping documentation requirements.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
Fluency in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
