Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Handle procurement requests from vessels, clients, and shipping agencies in a timely and professional manner.
- Source products and liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of supplies to vessels and clients.
- Monitor order status and ensure accurate follow-up with suppliers and internal teams.
- Receive, inspect, and verify goods delivered to the store to ensure quantity and quality compliance.
- Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and dispatch of orders prior to delivery.
- Support vessel delivery operations and coordinate logistics as required.
- Prepare invoices and supporting documentation following successful deliveries.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, and operational documentation.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, operational standards, and deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Shipping, or a related field.
- Previous experience in procurement, shipping, logistics, or maritime operations will be an advantage.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and French.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong negotiation, coordination, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Valid driving licence; possession of a personal vehicle will be considered an advantage.
