Job Description
The workshop operations coordinator ensures the proper functioning, efficiency and profitability of workshop operations. They also provide exceptional service to customers and maintain good relations with colleagues and other stakeholders.
Tasks:
• Handle difficult or unresolved cases and prevent their recurrence.
• Conduct thorough diagnostics to determine the causes of incidents and take the necessary corrective actions.
• Advise and supervise technicians when dealing with technical issues.
• Ensure that all work is completed within the promised timeframe, with properly detailed work orders.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer and company warranty procedures and retain replaced parts until they are covered under warranty.
• Be attentive to customer needs, handle their requests and complaints efficiently, and conduct test drives if necessary.
• Liaise with the Spare parts department and service providers, ensuring compliance with procedures (requisitions, invoices).
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, recommend necessary purchases, and ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for subordinates and technicians.
• Ensure the order, safety, and cleanliness of vehicles and the yard.
• Participate in training and identify training needs for technical staff.
• Perform any other related tasks requested by management.

Experience and Knowledge
• Degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an automotive workshop.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software.
• Valid driving license (Heavy motor vehicle license is an advantage).
