Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle procurement requests from vessels, clients, and shipping agencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Source products and liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations, pricing, and delivery terms.
  • Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
  • Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of supplies to vessels and clients.
  • Monitor order status and ensure accurate follow-up with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify goods delivered to the store to ensure quantity and quality compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and dispatch of orders prior to delivery.
  • Support vessel delivery operations and coordinate logistics as required.
  • Prepare invoices and supporting documentation following successful deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, and operational documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, operational standards, and deadlines.

Candidate Requirements

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Shipping, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in procurement, shipping, logistics, or maritime operations will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and French.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong negotiation, coordination, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Valid driving licence; possession of a personal vehicle will be considered an advantage.
