Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Board vessels upon arrival and attend throughout the port stay as required.
Act as the main point of contact between the vessel’s Master, port authorities, terminal operators, and service providers.
Facilitate clearance formalities with Customs, Immigration, Port Health, and Harbour authorities.
Arrange and coordinate pilotage, towage, berth allocation, and other port services.
Monitor vessel operations, including cargo operations, bunkering, crew changes, and ship chandling.
Prepare and process required documentation, including port call documentation, statements of facts, and departure documentation.
Ensure timely submission of pre-arrival and departure information to relevant authorities.
Coordinate crew changes, medical assistance, and other crew-related matters when required.
Monitor port disbursements and maintain accurate records of services rendered during the vessel’s call.
Provide regular updates to ship owners, charterers, and principals on the vessel’s status.

Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in shipping, port operations, or maritime services preferred.
Strong knowledge of port procedures and maritime regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Valid driving licence (own vehicle is an advantage).
Proficiency in English and French (both written and spoken).
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
