About Us:
Polytra Africa SSC is a dynamic and innovative logistics company dedicated to leveraging data-driven insights to optimize business performance. We are seeking an Working Capital Lead to join our growing team and oversee and manage the accounts payable & receivable functions within Finance SSC.
Responsibilities:
• Master data Management – Manage relationships with customers and vendors, collaborating to avoid business disruptions.
• Ensure all SLAs are performed as agreed.
• Uphold a best-in-class data quality within the accounts payable and receivables environment and ensure an effective filing system in place.
• Manage and Lead the dispute management process.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in countries (finance / ops / management) to deliver on SSC duties across the process map.
• Monitor and plan cash flow together with the treasury team and ensure alignment with organizational’ s goals.
• Supervision: over the AP and AR team from a technical perspective, providing guidance and support.
• Train and develop team members on processes, policies and best practices.
• Support the Head of Finance in designing and implementing policies and other frameworks to enhance departmental efficiency.
• Contribute heavily to managing risks through effective internal controls in place and support consistent monitoring and reporting thereof.
• Ensure a clean and tidy AP and AR ledgers, with all aged items adequately explained.
• Act on the credit policy, and ensure proper credit risk assessment, and dunning process monitoring in place.
• Act as a single point of contact to all queries related to your function.
• Design appropriate reporting dashboards covering various SSC requirements, ranging from entity’s working capital performance to dashboards covering SSC’s volumes and effectiveness.
• Support the automation roadmap to improve efficiency of SSC’s processes.
• Manage backlog effectively.
• Ensuring that there is clear audit trail in all financial transaction.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance (or Equivalent).
• Proven experience in a working capital management and SSC environment.
• Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
• Good communication skills in both English and French
• At least 5 years of experience in an Accounting function or in a similar position.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of logistics industry will be an advantage
• Good level of excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience in ERP or Accounting Software
