About Us:

We are seeking a Treasury Lead to join our growing team and to oversee and manage the treasury function, involving managing the liquidity, cash flow and financial risk.
Responsibilities:

 Treasury Operations – Responsible to oversee the treasury operations of Polytra Africa SSC, including establishing and enforcing cash handling procedures to ensure security and accuracy of transactions and overseeing all banking operations including wire transfers, check processing and electronic payments.
 Cash Forecasting – Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
 Cash Positioning – Optimize cash balances by monitoring and managing bank accounts, short-term investments and liquidity instruments.
 Bank Relationship – Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions and support the Group CFO / Head of Finance SSC in terms negotiation with banking partners.
 Bank Account Management – Overseeing the opening, closing and maintenance of bank accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
 Foreign Exchange Risk – Monitor and manage exposure to foreign exchange risk by implementing hedging strategies and monitoring currency fluctuations.
 Interest Rate Risk – Assess and mitigate interest rate risk by managing debt and interest rate derivatives.
 Investment Management – Manage short-term investments portfolios to optimize returns while maintaining liquidity and minimizing risk, Monitor investment performance.
 Debt Management – Evaluate financing options and structures to meet funding needs. Manage debt repayment schedules and ensure compliance with debt covenants and agreements.
 Ensure timely preparation of Bank Reconciliations for all bank accounts under responsibility.

 Address any discrepancies or issues related to banking transactions timely with internal and external stakeholders.
 Understand the Operational and ERP systems to support the deliverables for this position.
 Will be fully involved in the consolidation project of the treasury function for our operations and entities in Africa.
 Assist the Finance SSC in implementing procedures and control points to safeguard our liquid assets.
 Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline the treasury operations and enhance efficiency.
 Identify, assess and report on financial risks facing the organization, including liquidity risk, credit risk and market risk.
 Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication – to support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with overall financial goals. This involves communication of treasury-related policies, procedures, and strategies effectively.

Requirements:
 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance (or Equivalent).
 Proven experience in a similar position is an advantage.
 Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
 Good communication skills in both English and French
 At least 3 years of experience in an accounting function or in a similar position.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
 Knowledge of logistics industry will be an advantage
 Good level of excel and Microsoft Office
 Experience in ERP or Accounting Software
