Sustainability Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a Sustainability Officer for one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring sustainability strategies that align with the organisation’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. This role involves working closely with various departments to drive sustainable practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sustainability policies, programs, and initiatives.
Monitor and report on environmental performance, including energy use, waste management, and carbon footprint.
Conduct research on sustainable technologies and industry best practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and responsible resource management.
Prepare sustainability reports and maintain compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
Support corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities and community engagement projects.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sustainability performance.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in a sustainability, environmental management, or related role.
Strong knowledge of ESG principles, environmental regulations, and sustainable practices.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with sustainability reporting tools is an advantage.
