Senior Analyst

Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Analyst to join its team in Mauritius. This is a critical role responsible for the securities brokerage operational processes and senior management support.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Brokerage Activities
o Report to senior management.
o Participate in Operations committee’s monthly reviews
o Liaise with internal teams and counterparties to ensure smooth onboarding
o Confirm orders with counterparties and enter trades into internal system
o Communicate trade details to operations, settlement banks and custodians
o Ensure timely settlement of trades by following up with operations team

Payment Processing
o Process payments to vendors, contractors, advisors and other third parties on banking platforms including payee’s setup and approval matrix management
o Liaise with banks to monitor payment statuses and ensure settlement
o Prepare payment report and other reports for controls and oversight purposes
o Ensure weekly monitoring of client activity and monthly reconciliation of cash movements

General Admin Support
o Provide administrative support to managers and teams as needed
o Maintain organizational systems for files, records, and documentation
o Assist in onboarding and compliance processes
o Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an operational/trade support role
• Knowledge of trade execution and settlement processes
• Strong understanding of banking payment processes
• Experience with institutional trading platforms/systems
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external parties
• Highly organized with great attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
• Fluency in English and French

They require someone with a proven track record handling operational processes relating to payments, trade execution and settlement. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned multi-tasker able to manage multiple workflows simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency.
