Role Overview
The IT Functional Support Officer plays a key role in ensuring the stability, support, and further development of the IT Service Desk, with a strong focus on the Microsoft ecosystem.
The role combines hands-on operational support (hardware & peripherals) with active participation and monitoring of IT infrastructure and Modern Workplace projects. The position requires a structured, service-oriented approach and close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support to end-users (applications, systems, and workplace tools)
• Ensure smooth operation of the IT Service Desk, including ticket handling, prioritization, and resolution tracking
• Support and administer the Microsoft stack: Exchange, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams (incl. Teams Calling), Intune/Entra, AVD
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues
• Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of systems and workplace solutions
• Monitor system performance, ensure security compliance, and escalate risks where needed
• Support and coordinate IT infrastructure and Modern Workplace projects
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve complex issues
• Document processes, solutions, and contribute to knowledge base development
• Deliver user guidance and training where required
• Contribute to the professionalization, standardization, and scalability of the Service Desk

Technical Skills
• Strong familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem:
o Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Teams Calling)
o Intune / Entra (Azure AD)
o Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• Experience with IT Service Desk / ticketing systems
• Basic knowledge of networking, cybersecurity principles, and endpoint management
• Understanding of business applications (ERP, logistics systems) is a plus
• Basic SQL knowledge is an advantage
• Familiarity with EDI concepts is a plus

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in IT support / Service Desk / IT Operations
• Demonstrable experience with Microsoft workplace technologies
• Initial exposure to IT projects or infrastructure environments is required
