About Us:

Polytra Africa SSC is a dynamic and innovative logistics company dedicated to leveraging data-driven insights to optimize business performance. We are seeking an IT Functional Support Officer to join our growing team and who will provide first and second-level technical assistance and support for various systems and applications, ensuring their smooth operation within the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Provide first and second-level support to end-users for system-related issues and queries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software problems.
• Assist in the configuration, customization, and maintenance of systems.
• Document and track issues using a ticketing system.
• Collaborate with other IT team members and external vendors to resolve complex issues.
• Conduct user training sessions and create user guides specific to system functionalities.
• Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Participate in system-related projects and initiatives as required.

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in logistics ERP, freight forwarding systems, and other business applications.
• Basic SQL knowledge required.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems.
• Understanding of how EDI communications work and how to resolve related issues.
• Understanding of business processes and how they are supported by IT systems.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
