Job Description

A forward-thinking organisation in the logistics & transportation sector is looking for a Data & Automation Lead to spearhead its data and automation initiatives. This role involves leading a dedicated team, driving innovation, and delivering impactful data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of data analysts and automation specialists, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee data collection, cleaning, and transformation to ensure high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to deliver actionable insights.
  • Design, implement, and enhance workflows and automation processes using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data and automation solutions.
  • Establish and uphold best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Mentor and upskill team members through training sessions and professional development initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in data analytics and automation technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a data and automation team.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI for data visualisation and analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and data modelling.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security standards, and compliance.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the logistics industry is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R.
  • Exposure to machine learning or predictive analytics.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
