Job Description
A forward-thinking organisation in the logistics & transportation sector is looking for a Data & Automation Lead to spearhead its data and automation initiatives. This role involves leading a dedicated team, driving innovation, and delivering impactful data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of data analysts and automation specialists, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Oversee data collection, cleaning, and transformation to ensure high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to deliver actionable insights.
- Design, implement, and enhance workflows and automation processes using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data and automation solutions.
- Establish and uphold best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
- Mentor and upskill team members through training sessions and professional development initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging trends in data analytics and automation technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a data and automation team.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI for data visualisation and analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and data modelling.
- Familiarity with data governance, security standards, and compliance.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the logistics industry is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R.
- Exposure to machine learning or predictive analytics.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
